LOUIS MARTINI ALEX VALLEY CAB 750
This was a phenomenal vintage for Cabernet Sauvignon. We harvested in the early morning hours to keep the fruit as cool as possible and de-stemmed direct to tank upon arrival at the winery. Grapes were de-stemmed but not crushed, leaving greater than 90% whole berries in the fermenter. Over 80% of this wine was kept on the skins for an average of 21 days. Aromas of ripe cherry, cassis, and pipe tobacco are enhanced by rich, full flavors on the palate of dark bing cherries and plums finishing with a hint of tobacco, dried herbs and fruit.
